Our staff

We are very careful to choose the right staff for our nursery.  Our carers are highly qualified and absolutely love being with children.  Because of this, we take every effort to ensure our staff are highly trained and invest significantly in their progression as child carers.

Based in Cambridge, we employ approximately 12 nursery practitioners, all of which would carry a formal childcare qualification, with the exception that we may have a maximum of 1 member of staff completing their childcare course.

Staff training:

• All of our nursery practitioners have relevant paediatric first aid training, which is kept current and in-date.
• All have current child protection training.
• We have staff specifically trained for “Special Educational Needs” (SENCO)
• We have staff specifically trained for “equal opportunities learning” (ENCO)
• All of our staff are trained in behaviour management.
• All of our staff have Food and Hygiene certificates.
• All of our staff throughout the nursery have regular Criminal Records Bureau checks.

From as early as 6 to 9 months, babies can begin to tell you what they want through sign language.  TinyTalk is a leading provider of baby sign language training in the UK.  Our staff are trained in the use of “baby sign language” and undergo a continual assessment programme.
